A lifetime of war

Six years have passed since the war in Syria began and there are no shortage of grim statistics: 13.5 million people live in dire need of aid and nearly 5 million refugees face increasingly desperate situations in neighbouring countries. The crisis has hit Syria's youngest particularly hard. In a new report, Hitting Rock Bottom, the UN children's agency (UNICEF) warned more than 2.3 million children live as refugees in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq.
